Cammack Transport, a member of Palletways, Europe’s largest and fastest growing express palletised freight network, has spread its wings logistically and has invested in a new van and a freshly liveried trailer to expand the Palletways side of the business.

The expansion comes as a result of the company’s phenomenal growth over the past few years, which has seen the workforce increase to now employing 25 people. This has also seen turnover expand in excess to £1.8m with a big increase in the number of clients.

Jo Cammack, Managing Director at Cammack Transport, said: “While palletised delivery is relatively new for us as a company, our pallet network has grown by over 400% in the past year alone.

“We want to keep the momentum going, so it made sense to extend our delivery area and make some crucial investments.

“The staff are really excited by the expansion as it gives us more scope to take on new customers and provides them with new opportunities. We hope it’s going to be another busy year!

“Despite the nation-wide driver shortage facing the industry, Cammack Transport is marking a new era by welcoming two new drivers to the team.

“We’ve not struggled to find new HGV drivers and I know that makes us incredibly lucky” adds Jo.

“Our two new recruits are doing really well in their training and coped brilliantly with the upturn in traffic that Christmas brought. They’re now servicing our new areas with a decent level of experience under their belts.

“We’re a proud member of Palletways and as such, have recently been announced as a Platinum Award winner. We can always rely on our commercial support manager and the Midlands regional general manager should we need help and it makes us feel like a valued part of the network.”

Cammack Transport is one of over 110 independent transport providers that are part of the Palletways UK network. They benefit from shared expertise and resources from within the group to deliver consignments of palletised freight to market faster and more cost effectively than ever before. The Palletways Group comprises 400 depots and 17 hub operations, through which it provides collection and distribution services across 20 European countries, including the UK.
